inception LF 3-way bass-reflex.

Another 3-way bass reflex loudspeakers. This one my latest project where I used Fostex tweeter and Lavoce midrange and woofer.

 

Two crossovers in each speaker dedicated for bass and another one for mid and high frequencies. It's a 350 Hz and 4000 Hz cut off 2nd order Butterworth. Crossover made with a high quality parts: Mundorf Cross-cap for low and mids and Superior-Z cap capacitors for the tweeter, Jantzen air core coils, Mundorf resistors (see the photos).

Enclosure made of solid oak wood 22 mm thickness. Front baffle double layered and have a 39 mm thickenss. Polished. Yes, there is not a drop of varnish. After the polishing process, I used only one layer of Danish oil to protect the wood. The internal volume of the woofer enclosure is 9 liters. Insulation materials are - felt layer and polyester dampening cloth by Jantzen.
